Riverbank Medical Practice in Thurso needs you!
Caithness is an area of outstanding beauty providing an extremely attractive place to live and work. It has a well developed healthcare network of practices supported by a Rural General Hospital in Wick and a Community Hospital in Thurso.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic group or individual interested in taking over the running of the Riverbank GP practice:
This 6000 patient practice fell vacant in December 2012 and the opportunity now exists for you to be instrumental in the continuing development of this substantial practice. This is a rare and exciting business opportunity for groups or individuals dedicated to providing excellent primary care services under the GMS contract. Riverbank has an enthusiastic team in place with practice staff including 4 practice nurses, 9 admin and secretarial staff. GP cover is currently provided by a team of GP locums. There are close links with NHS Highland, the community team and neighbouring practices. The practice is housed in a leased building with community staff in NHS premises nearby.
NHS Highland is a fully integrated Health and Adult Social Care Board encouraging close links with social care for the benefit of our patients with high quality patient centred care at the centre of our ambition.
NHS Highland is prepared to offer support for an extended period of transition to successful applicants.
We therefore invite enquiries and are open to progressive and new ideas for provision of General Medical Services from this practice.
