Be a Fellow on the Isle of Arran

rfellow-1-2Once again, Arran Medical Group is participating in the NES Rural Fellowship scheme, and are keen to attract a Fellow for the 2014-15 programme.

Arran is one of several areas in Scotland where the opportunity exists to gain supported and relevant experience in rural health care.  The island is situated just off the west coast of Scotland where general practice is varied and interesting and the beautiful setting offers a great quality of life. They are hoping to attract a Fellow who is keen to develop and use a wide range of skills, from primary care to community hospital care, and everything in between.

With a patient list size of 5,000, Arran Medical Group operates across three main surgeries and four branch sites. From Easter to October, the population rises to a peak of 25,000.  There are excellent opportunities for greater continuity of patient care due to the local GPs offering acute and inpatient care at the 17-bed community hospital.
