Riverbank Medical Practice became an NHS Highland Salaried Practice in April 2014, and we are now looking for enthusiastic and motivated GPs to form a vital part of the practice team.

This exciting opportunity will see you play an instrumental part in the development of the 5700-patient practice to provide excellent, high quality, patient-centred primary care services to the community. You will also provide care to patients in the Dunbar Community Hospital (in-patient and minor injury unit) and local care homes – adding great variety to your day-to-day activity.

There are also close links with the community team and neighbouring practices. The county of Caithness offers a well-developed healthcare network of GP practices supported by a Rural General Hospital in Wick and the Community Hospital in Thurso.

The practice is paperlite using Vision and Docman and provides the usual range of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and Enhanced Services. There is no out-of-hours commitment but sessions are available locally if you are interested.

To top it all off, in Caithness you will be living and working in area of outstanding beauty, with a wide range of sporting, social and artistic activities available locally.

We are happy to consider any variations in working pattern, from full-time or part-time to rota/shift work (eg. week on/week off), and will consider applications from new and experienced doctors. ‘Golden Hello’ incentives and relocation packages are also available to eligible candidates.
