Vacancy: Dunkeld (GP Partner)

Due to retirement, we are looking for a GP partner to work eight sessions per week from September 2018. Our practice team is comprised of long-serving clinical and administration staff, with a combined service to the Dunkeld community of over 160 years. There is excellent team morale which provides an effective, efficient and enjoyable work environment. We pride ourselves on the high standard of patient-centred care we provide and have consistently achieved some of the highest levels of patient satisfaction and access survey results in Scotland.

We are currently a partnership of four (3.4 wte) with a list size of 3900 patients. We use the Vision and Docman clinical systems. Our surgery is large, modern and purpose-built, providing ample clinical workspace. We have an excellent skills mix, with GP’s special interests including diabetic care, women’s health, GUM, joint injections and paediatrics. We also provide BASICS pre-hospital emergency care and an opportunity would be available for the new partner to participate if they wished. Near-maximum QOF points in previous years, along with additional funding streams, provides healthy practice accounts. We are actively involved with Cluster working and aim to engage with the local Health and Social Care Partnership to develop the clinical services that the new GP contract will bring.

Dunkeld is a beautiful, family-friendly town which has a vibrant town centre and excellent local schools. There are numerous outdoor activities on our doorstep and easy access to both the Central Belt and the Highlands.

It is extremely important for us to appoint a caring and like-minded GP, hence the early advertisement. Although we are replacing an eight-session partner, we would encourage GPs seeking fewer sessions to apply.
