RuralGP will advertise any substantive vacancies in rural general practice. Adverts are automatically posted to our Twitter account, emailed to over 50 subscribers and published to our LinkedIn page. In the last year RuralGP.com has had over 20,000 unique visitors, and we see a good conversion rate from social media to visits to the website.
Anecdotally, it seems to be a useful – and inexpensive – tool to get your advert out.
Who can advertise on RuralGP.com?
Free advertising is available to members of the Rural GP Association of Scotland (RGPAS), which covers all server costs of RuralGP.com. Membership of RGPAS is available to all rural GPs in Scotland, at a cost of £20/annum.
If you are not able to join RGPAS, we will publish your advert on payment of a donation to the RGPAS Educational Fund. The donation will be used for the purpose of encouraging undergraduate students in Scotland to experience rural practice – for example by funding our conference scholarships.
Single advert: £60 one-off cost
How do I advertise?
Please email your advert to firstname.lastname@example.org. The content should ideally be a word file (or text in an email), along with at least one relevant photo of at least 600×400 resolution – please confirm in your email that you have copyright or express permission to use the photo with your advert. Send this to us and we’ll normally have it on the site within a few days.
If you are not an RGPAS member, we will require confirmation of payment to the RGPAS Educational Fund before we can put the advert online.
